Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I always loved creating music with my father, who played drums. Jimi and James Brown filled the his living room, we would dance and sing our hearts out. My mother and I would sing Frank Sinatra during Christmas while we baked. Music is within me.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Isaiah Rashad, The House Is Burning Jungle, Volcano Miles Davis, Kind of Blue All have played important roles into my sound and how I write music. I aspire to move people and bond people the way these artists and sounds have managed to successfully execute. They not only touched me as a listener, but as an artist.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Honey” It perfectly blends my sounds together. It makes my soul happy to sing this song and it brings me pure joy knowing it makes others feel good. This song is special because of its sweetly viscous tones and words of manifestation.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Connecting with the people who enjoy my music live. Taking the time to get to know people and what makes them happy. Getting them hype and bouncing with them, taking them on a lucid dream.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to tour, I want to go to the places that support my music and get to know them. I want to perform in places outside of North Carolina, and eventually outside of the US. I want to open up for an artist like Anderson Paak or Smino.
