In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Dan Baird came over to write with Warner E. Hodges and Joe Blanton and the first real song we wrote was called Bad Old Days. It was so good that we had to form a band right then and there.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? AC/DC, Highway to Hell NRBQ, NRBQ Sex Pistols, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols The Bluefields dig a lot of different music for different reasons. It needs to be fun or important for us to sink our teeth in. We like raw, tight, groovy stuff. We’re all over the place sometimes.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bad Old Days” This song is about as natural as it gets for us. It’s in the respective wheelhouses of Jason and The Scorchers, the Georgia Satellites, and Joe’s hollerin’. It’s also pretty true lyrically and sounds like a bar fight.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? The Bluefields are exploring recording their 5th album.
