London's The Last Dinner Party combines maximalist pop grandeur with hook-filled baroque indie rock to create bold modern stadium anthems that evoke the art-pop acumen of artists like Sparks, Kate Bush, and Siouxsie & The Banshees. After forming in 2021 and quickly becoming one of the most buzzed-about acts on the London circuit, the band inked a deal with Island ahead of the arrival of 2023's "Nothing Matters." Potent, brash, and majestic, the song lived up to the hype, garnering millions of streams and setting the table for the group's debut full-length effort, Prelude to Ecstasy, in 2024. Channeling the band’s live charisma, the album is a full theatrical experience, weaving together brassy anthems to sex, sexuality, and self-empowerment with bittersweet moments of pure release.
