Artist Biography
Los Angeles-based indie band The Marías are known for their bilingual songs and a retro sound infused with a variety of Latin, R&B, and jazz influences.
∙ Named for frontwoman María Zardoya—who formed the band with drummer/producer Josh Conway in 2016—The Marías released their debut, Superclean, Vol. 1 EP, in 2017.
∙ Their first song to get commercial radio play, 2018’s “I Don't Know You” hit No. 16 on Billboard’s Mexico Ingles Airplay chart.
∙ The group headlined 2018’s Ones To Watch tour, which spotlights up-and-coming artists handpicked by writers of the namesake blog.
