Artist Biography
Devoted bearers of the garage-rock torch, the Strange Boys emerged out of Austin’s thriving music scene in 2005, garnering significant attention for their raucous live performances. Drawing influence from a wide array of vintage blues and rock & roll acts, these Texan Boys are fronted by wiry, reedy-voiced singer/guitarist Ryan Sambol, whose brother, Phillip, mans the bass. Touring at length with likeminded groups such as Black Lips and White Denim, the quartet finally unveiled its debut, THE STRANGE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB, in early ’09.
