About Throttle Down
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Driving in our parents cars on road trips in the 70's and listening to 8-tracks from Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, Kenny Rodgers and even 60's R&B.
Waiting in line to buy concert tickets to see Van Halen and then going to buy the concert shirt for $10.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin (Remastered)
Michael Schenker Group, Built to Destroy (Deluxe Edition)
The Cars, The Cars
Led Zeppelin I is the ultimate album, It is timeless and still sounds relevant and fresh even after all these years. Michael Schenker is one of the best melodic guitar soloist and is still going strong. The Cars first album , great hooks and songs!!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Windy Day Inside”
This was the first original song we wrote together as Throttle Down.
We recorded the guitars and vocals in Arizona, then producer Nicky V was able to get Martin Motnik of Accept to play the bass and Steve Brewster (Richard Marx) to play the drums.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Although Throttle Down is new, We have individually been in bands that have opened for Joe Satriani, Donna Summer, KC and The Sunshine Band, Tower of Power, The Pointer Sisters, Pat Travers, Rick Derringer, Great White, just to name a few!!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Our bucket list easy, open for for any of our influences that are still with us!! We are just as happy sharing our music with anyone with ears and hope to play our original music in front of new faces!!
