As supergroups go, Tinted Windows is a multi-generational power-pop fan's dream come true. Smashing Pumpkins' James Iha provides the guitar talent, and Taylor Hanson (of '90s boy-group Hanson fame) is the suave front man with pristine vocals and heart-throb looks. The band is anchored by the songwriting smarts (and workmanlike bass playing) of Fountain of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger, and perfect drumming courtesy of Cheap Trick's Bun E. Carlos. Tinted Windows' debut single "Kind Of A Girl" made an immediate positive impression on critics, bolstered by incendiary appearances at the 2009 SxSW festival. Their 2009 full-length album was released by S-Curve Records, an imprint of EMI.
