About Tommy Prine
Artist Biography
Tommy Prine comes by his love of music naturally -- his father was John Prine, one of the most celebrated singer/songwriters of his generation. However, as a musician and tunesmith, Tommy has chosen a different musical path than his dad; his music has a hard, rock-oriented edge that's rootsy but forceful, and his songs often look at a darker and more introspective side of life, adding a personal viewpoint that's all his own. Tommy Prine didn't seriously consider music as a career until after his father died in 2020, but his debut album, 2023's This Far South, was the work of a thoughtful and ambitious artist eager to make up for lost time.
