About Trust Exercise
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
My dad left a synthesizer plugged in and running when I was like 5. He didn't realise it was still on and neither did I. I accidentally fell into the keys and set off an arpeggiated sequence. The particular patch was called Fantasm or something.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
BROCKHAMPTON, SATURATION II
Explosions In the Sky, The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place
Title Fight, Floral Green
I love all of these records. They are all for very different reasons. Also, I think it is cruel to ask any artist to select three all-time favourite albums. Oh well, these are the three that come to mind. Listen and learn!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Protection Spell”
I always wanted to write a song just like this. A song that is embedded within Emo and post-rock influence but still is nerdy, a little cliche and fantastical in its lyrical nature. It's the first time I ever did screamed vocals - now I can't stop.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
My first album was used as background music in one of my favourite Ramen restaurants in Brisbane - Taro's Ramen.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Basically, everything. I still haven't even played a single show as Trust Exercise.
