Based in Vancouver, Canada, the psychedelically tinged indie pop band Twin River began life in a folkier incarnation featuring just guitarist/vocalists Courtney Ewan Bromley and Andrew Bishop. This sweeter, gentler version of Twin River can be heard on their debut 2012 EP, Rough Gold, but by the time they recorded their full-length, Should the Light Go Out, in the summer of 2013, they added drummer Dustin Bromley, bassist Malcolm Jack, and keyboardist/percussionist Rebecca Law Gray. The expanded lineup pushed the group to an edgier, hookier sound, a change that could be heard on Should the Light Go Out, which saw release in early 2015. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
