From local gigs to the international stage, Udd (formerly Up Dharma Down) have challenged mainstream conventions. Ever since their genre-defying 2006 breakthrough, Fragmented, the award-winning band have remained independent, exercising full creative control over their music. In the process, they developed a trademark sound with Armi Millare’s soulful vocals that dishes up poignant tracks exploring love and heartbreak. On 2019’s U D D, the four-piece fully embrace their penchant for jazz with the saxophone-laced “Fool Truth” and the bass grooves of “Sigurado”.
