About Ulices Chaidez
Ulices Chaidez is a popular new-generation Regional Mexican artist whose music mixes modern corrido and banda influences.
∙ The Sinaloa-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist comes from a musical family and learned to play the drums at age six.
∙ He formed his first band while in high school and signed a record deal at age 15.
∙ “Andamos En El Ruedo”—Chaidez’s first single with his band, the Plebes—debuted at the top of iTunes’ Regional Mexican Songs chart in 2016.
∙ In 2017, he had two hits on Billboard’s Regional Mexicano Albums chart—his No. 1 debut, Andamos En El Ruedo, and the No. 9 follow-up, El Elegido.
∙ Collaborating with labelmate Jose Manuel, he performed covers of songs by his musical hero, the late Ariel Camacho, on 2020’s Homenaje a Ariel Camacho.
