In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When my dad would play Bob Marley all morning during the weekends when he got off of work. Bob Marley was the first musician I had an affinity for, he was the foundation of my musical upbringing.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Frusciante, Inside of Emptiness Portishead, Portishead The Smashing Pumpkins, Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness (2012 Remastered) I feel like all of these records have left such a huge impression on everything I've made in the past 6 or so years. I constantly find myself going back to these for references, ideas, or just general inspiration.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Hands Over Fists” I had a lot of fun recording this song as it was one of the first times I really let a song or an idea take full control rather than the opposite. I sort of just got lost within it and it created this really chaotic moment. I love going back to this.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first ever gig about a few years ago. I was nervous and I think it was kind of bad, but it was an experience I cherish nonetheless.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to tour with a full band and I want to put out a live album.
