About Visions of Afterlife
Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Our first ''out of town show''; we played an older venue in Norman, OK. We had just really scratched the surface of our local scene with a more "originals" focused setlist. We were super excited to extend our reach!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? HIM, Venus Doom (Deluxe Version) Monolord, Empress Rising Paradise Lost, Obsidian Venus Doom - it's all in the name! Empress Rising is the GOAT of all doom metal albums. It was super hard picking just a single Paradise Lost album. They have shifted genres all while still maintaining the gothic gloom, that's what makes them for me.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Into the Dark” When you start getting serious, the fallback of bands is to attempt recording yourself. At this point we recorded an EP/Demo and another 2 singles, terribly I must add (laughing). I would say this song captured the closest to our true natural sound.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Just being able to play with other awesome musicians. We have been so fortunate to meet other amazing acts while playing live - some of which are now close friends. The local music scene in Oklahoma is insane, there is so many talented people/bands.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Definitely in this for the love of just playing however, we would be lying if we didn't say a small tour. Currently a goal is to play as many of the Oklahoma venues, then branch out of state. Jumping on a huge touring bands bill would be awesome!
