In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Recording a BBC Radio 1 session for John Peel at Maida Vale. John Peel picked up on my first single and played it on his show. He then invited my group 'Kick Partners' in to the BBC studios to record a session for him.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bruce Springsteen, Darkness on the Edge of Town David Bowie, Nothing Has Changed (The Best of David Bowie) Ryan Adams & The Cardinals, Cold Roses I am a huge fan of these three artists. Bowie was a genius, Ryan Adams is a crazy genius and Bruce is The Boss.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Coming Storm” A song I wrote a year or two ago. It was about an inevitable break up in the band I was playing in at the time. You could sense it coming. Afterwards I went solo. It gave me a lot of confidence. I think it was the right thing to do.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Headlining the student festival at Coimbra, Portugal to 35,000 people.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To continue writing, recording and performing live as much as possible.
