About Wayne Morgan
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
One of my first musical memories was hearing Stevie Wonder's song Sir Duke. Apparently I used to dance around the house every time I heard it.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Jaco Pastorius, Jaco Pastorius
Marcus Miller, Power: The Essential Marcus Miller
Miles Davis, Kind of Blue
I chose these albums because they had a big effect and changed my Composing, Musical Outlook and Playing style.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Tokyo”
I love the energy of this composition and the way that it features my trademark Flick Bass Technique on the intro of the song. I also love the way that the song develops and the interesting twists and turns that happen upon listening to it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Taking my music out to Japan and performing there..
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
To have one of my compositions feature in a major movie.
