Artist Biography
Philadelphia DJ and rapper Wes Walker broke through with the platinum-selling 2015 single “Jordan Belfort,” which he recorded with fellow Philadelphia rhymer Dyl.
• Walker began DJing in seventh grade. Before making “Jordan Belfort”—named for the real-life stockbroker portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio in the 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street—he and Dyl (Dylan Rhodes) used to perform at events including bar mitzvahs and proms.
• “Pop the F**k Off,” off Walker’s 2015 debut mixtape, Next Rookie of the Year, includes samples from “Simon Says” by the New York rapper Pharoah Monche.
• Walker’s first official EP, Who Is Wes Walker, came out in 2018.
