Artist Biography
Singer/songwriter/rapper White-B has built a name for himself through solo efforts and collaborative projects. Born David Bouchard-Sasseville in Montreal, Canada, the francophone MC combines affecting melodies with piercing, introspective bars, inviting us into his world of passion and persistence. As a member of the hip-hop collective 5Sang14, formed in 2012, White-B refined his distinct, evocative style; a highlight of the collaborative 2017 album Cerbère was his hard-hitting, yet reflective “P.R.M.F.” Later that year, White-B released his solo debut, Confession risquée, a vulnerable work that featured skillful storytelling on songs like “Au début.” With 2021’s Double vision, White-B further showcased his versatility through the brooding title track and the pop-leaning standout single “Toxique,” about a love that’s flawed from the start. With an ear for hypnotic harmonies and a fearless approach to writing, White-B cultivates a riveting, crossover sound.
