Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest memories is listening to records in our basement with my father: Miles Davis, Horace Silver, and Irakere. Growing up in Ward 8, go-go from Chuck Brown and Junkyard Band filled the streets outside, creating a beautiful collision.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bad Brains, Bad Brains (Bonus Track Version) Everything Everything, Man Alive Mach-Hommy, Pray For Haiti My top 3: Bad Brains self titled, Mach-Hommy's Pray for Haiti, and Everything Everything's Man Alive. Each one brings amazing writing, undeniable bops, and pushes boundaries in its own way, from DC punk, poetic hip-hop, and experimental art-pop.

Drew Kid, Kris Funn & Sheldon Thwaites) (Live at Big Ears)” This song is 100% improvised, an experiment in spontaneous composition. It follows a kid who witnesses their own funeral, recalling memories as they are torn between planes of existence. The music set the tone, and the words just spilled out.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing for 50k people in a Nouakchott soccer stadium with just me and DJ Nio, winning over that crowd with no safety net. 100% vulnerable. That connection, that energy building until there was one heartbeat, that's why I do this. Unforgettable.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? What's left? A world tour as just me. I've performed globally in bands and my former rap group, but never with just my name on the marquee. Taking my band around the world, this genre-breaking show, that's the dream I'm chasing. That's what's next.
