Will Haven is a long-running California noise-rock outfit with a sound rooted in bracing alt-metal and classic West Coast hardcore. Based out of Sacramento, the band released a trio of uncompromising studio albums, including 1999's seminal WHVN, before briefly ceasing operations in 2002. They regrouped in 2005 and issued the punishing Hierophant two years later, followed by the critically acclaimed Voir Dire in 2011. Subsequent efforts Muerte (2018) and VII (2023) saw Will Haven bolster their hardcore sound with elements of sludge and groove metal while maintaining their predecessors' forward-thinking, discordant timbre.
