About Wilson Clark
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
One of my earliest musical memories is watching a VHS of Johnny Cash live at San Quentin, which I was gifted as a little boy. I was hooked on country music and the great Johnny Cash ever since.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Cody Johnson, Gotta Be Me (Bonus Track Version)
Johnny Cash, At Folsom Prison Live
Sturgill Simpson, A Sailor's Guide to Earth
These albums have helped to shape my love for music and my sound as an artist. I grew up listening to Johnny Cash with my family. CoJo has modernized the classic country genre, and Sturgill is a pioneer in modern sound. They are all heroes of mine.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Washington Skies”
This was the first song I ever wrote that I considered recording. Written on the back porch of my in-laws house overlooking a beautiful Washington skyline. The memory of writing this song is forever burned in my mind.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Getting the text that I had been invited to play the Greeley Stampede. Though I didn't headline a main stage it was the highlight of my career to this point.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I'd like to play on the main stage at a country music festival and someday make an appearance at Red Rocks
