Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
When I was about 8, I saw Neil Sedaka singing on TV and was intrigued because he obviously was singing his own harmonies and a lot of the backup vocals. My interest in multi-track recording my own songs traces back to my fascination with Neil Sedaka.

Mary came into my life 19 months after the love of my life died; we learned joy is still possible even after unspeakable loss. One day Mary wished we'd met when we were younger. The song says God made sure we met when we needed each other most.
