About X Lovers
Los Angeles pop duo X Lovers explore the highs and lows of love and relationships with an introspective eye and knack for catchy songwriting. Jamming together since they were kids, they made their official debut as a unit in the late 2010s with their first effort, virgin.
Members London Jackson (guitars/vocals/songwriting) and Jacob Ames (production) met in grade school, connecting over shared inspirations like Kanye West and Green Day. Early on, they even formed a punk band called Opposition. After graduating high school, they moved to Los Angeles, where they penned tracks for other artists. In 2018, they signed with Visionary Records/RCA, issuing singles like the woozy "Novocaine" and "Easy." The following year, they increased their audience with streaming hits such as the tender "Colder When It Rains" and the pulsing "King of Capulet." The latter track landed on their official debut EP, virgin, which showcased their smooth blend of genre-blurring pop and vulnerable lyricism. ~ Neil Z. Yeung
