Recognized globally for his blend of Afrobeats and hip-hop, Nigerian rapper and singer-songwriter Ycee has become a leader of Afropop.
∙ His 2015 breakout, “Condo,” featuring Afro-dancehall artist Patoranking, was nominated for two Nigeria Entertainment Awards: Best Collaboration of the Year and Best Music Video of the Year.
∙ Nominated for eight Nigerian Headies Awards over just four years, Ycee won a gold plaque in 2015 for Rookie of the Year.
∙ Ycee became the first African artist to host a program on the UK’s BBC Radio 1Xtra, when he sat in for Dj Edu on the Destination Africa show in 2017.
