Chinese-born violinist Ye Wu is active in Germany (where she was partly trained) and beyond as a chamber musician, orchestral player, and concerto soloist. She has a substantial body of recordings with various chamber music groups. Ye Wu joined the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln in 2013 and became second concertmaster there the following year. She remained in that position as of the mid-2020s. Ye Wu has performed as a soloist with orchestras in Europe and the U.S. and has been especially active as a chamber musician, joining with four other WDR Sinfonieorchester musicians to form the WDR Chamber Players in 2016. Ye Wu has also recorded a pair of albums with hornist Přemysl Vojta and pianist Florence Millet, Modern Horn Trios in 2023, and John Cage: Music for Three in 2024.
