In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was taken into foster care at age 10, I turned to music and played the Viola in the fourth grade. In middle school I took part in the school choir and by age 15, I began recording vocals at an after school youth program recording studio.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Azealia Banks, Broke with Expensive Taste Nicki Minaj, The Pinkprint (Bonus Tracks) Broke with Expensive Taste, guided me to be bold and understand being a young adult. The Pinkprint, helped me cope with relationships & breakups. The Trinity, was one of the albums that helped me find my sexuality and find my identity as a teenager.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “L-O-L” is one of my favorite songs that I love the most, it’s very personal to me and it hits home. That track made me find strength, courage and resilience in my 20’s after being rejected & humiliated by folks who were trying to tear me down in my past.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Collaborating with these terrific and talented artists like Genuwine Beauty, Tsunamii Dee, DJ Swanny River, Prince Cat-Eyez, AwkWord-O, Prynce Pedro & my cousin Rastafaro. They made my artistry go another level that it’s truly unimaginable to think.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Absolutely work with the greatest of greats in my recording arts career. Travel overseas on a world tour, see the world as it is, continue to work on my production skills with other aspiring future artists, and build a legacy for future generations.
