About Zeddy Will
Artist Biography
Zeddy Will’s playful wordplay and animated delivery hint at the influence of Lil Wayne and Big Sean, but his devotion to humor orients him closer to shameless Michigan scam rappers. He was born in New York City’s Queensbridge housing project in 2003 and moved to Harlem in his teens. While attending Howard University, Zeddy parlayed his burgeoning social media following into a musical career, dropping a slew of singles including the DJ Smallz 732-featured “You,” which flips Jodeci’s “Freek’n You” into a Jersey Club-inspired romp. In early 2024 he breathed new life into DJ Casper’s “Cha Cha Slide,” depicting himself as a player with tongue-in-cheek wordplay such as “Had to kick her off the list, I’m playin’ soccer.” It’s difficult to easily categorize Zeddy in the modern rap landscape—but it’s easy to laugh at and dance to his music while you’re trying.
