Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Probably in my mother’s restaurant - they had a live band play every Friday and Saturday, even with dancers! She even let me stay up a little later to watch. That band is now known as ‘Krar Collective.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? D'Angelo, Voodoo Manalemosh Dibo, Atinkubign Marvin Gaye, I Want You Marvin & D' strike such a fine balance between being very easygoing and sensual, with being incredibly thought provoking and challenging. The Dibo record was the soundtrack to my childhood, her voice is a million dollars, always hits that sweet spot
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Our first ever headline show! We didn’t really expect anybody to come, let alone sell it out. The room was filled with so many young Ethiopians & Eritreans which meant the world to us, but also had a diverse group too - couldn't ask for more!
