Actress and singer-songwriter Zooey Deschanel has enjoyed success in the duo She & Him alongside country-folk musician M. Ward, as well as with TV and film soundtrack music.
∙ She duetted on “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” with costar Will Ferrell in the 2003 Christmas film Elf, and she sang the song with legendary crooner Leon Redbone for the movie’s soundtrack.
∙ Starting in 2008, Deschanel and M. Ward released originals, standards, and Christmas music as She & Him, including Volume Two, which reached No. 6 on the Billboard 200 in 2010.
∙ Her track “So Long,” featured in the animated film Winnie the Pooh, received a Grammy nomination in 2011 for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
∙ Prince featured her as a vocalist on his 2014 single “FALLINLOVE2NITE,” after he guest-starred on her New Girl TV series.
∙ As Bridget in the Trolls films, she lent her vocals to hit soundtrack’s songs, including a cover of the Lionel Richie’s “Hello.”
