In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My aunt was a lighting designer for Pink Floyd, and I remember blasting their music in her truck driving around central Florida. I inherited an old beginner guitar that used to belong to her, and taught myself to play.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frank Ocean, Blonde Neil Young, After the Gold Rush Nick Drake, Pink Moon Apple Music is the main place I get to hear Neil Young now, and I've been super inspired by his songs and guitar playing through the years. I also love how Blonde was released. And Pink Moon is a record that I've had on repeat since I was a kid.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Raining and the Sun's Still Out” I wrestled this song out of my modular synth. It reminded me of those days in Florida, where it would rain for a moment, but the sun was shining brightly through the clouds. The metallic smell in the air, where sadness and light came together.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Making music with my friends and my community has been so encouraging and hopeful.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to do a residency, with mixed-media - combining my visual arts with music, I love blurring those lines.
