In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I started off music in the children's choir in my church in Ibadan. I know many artistes say this but I actually started there. Although music didn't become a passion until my A'levels and university days.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aṣa, Asa [Asha] Wande Coal, Best of Wande Coal I feel like Wande Coal inspired a lot of young artistes. Asa's Asa album gave soul to our alternative sound. another great influence is Passenger. These albums and song drew a map to what my sound was going to be.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Melanin” Melanin was birth out of my love for the black woman. The way the sun kisses her skin when she walks and how majestic she looks as the sun causes her skin to glow.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? 2021 was a really good year, from putting out music under universal music to putting out my first EP project to working with Bankulli.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? yes yes yes!!!! to hit the number one spot on Apple Music charts, and to also hit the number one spot on billboards worldwide. I want the world to fall in love with my sound, my craft and my voice.
