Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Mbongeni - "my uncles used to play jazz music on the weekends very loud and I started appreciating it after a while, I remember they used to play Hugh Masekela on repeat." Avile - "my uncle liked Zola's music and that made me interested in Kwaito"
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? ANATII, Iyeza J Dilla, Donuts Joey Bada$$, 1999 1999 is the hip hop we enjoy and would like our music to exist alongside these songs. Iyeza changed how we viewed music and reminded us about making for our people, abaXhosa J Dilla's taste and creativity is elite. He's a big influence for us.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Different” We wrote this at one of our favourite places to chill. The parking space for a warehouse close to where we record. Wrote this while skating, talking about the careers we want to have and reminiscing abut how fun it is to be an artist in our reality.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We booked a venue in Pretoria, South Africa and hosted or own show called the 1 Hour Rebellion and Performed for an hour and had our supporters follow along with lyric books in their hands.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We would like to perform in at least 20 countries on the African Continent.
