In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first music I heard was the Southern Pacific railroad within earshot of my bedroom window.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brian Eno, Here Come the Warm Jets Karlheinz Stockhausen, WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, Stockhausen: Gesang der Jünglinge & Kontakte (Stereo Version) Rafael Kubelik, Sinfonie Orchester Des Bayerischen Rundfunks, BACH: CONCERTO FOR FOUR HARPSICHORDS; MOZART: PIANO CONCERTO No. 21; BEETHOVEN: PIANO CONCERTO No. 4 The Stockhausen was essential music to my early development, it contains an entire world. Here Come the Warm Jets mutated art rock and introduced me to the idea of processing and processes. The Bach "cover" of the Vivaldi is a communal masterpiece.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Reintegration Loops: Variations on The Disintegration Loops by William Basinski” I love this piece because it was quite challenging. I'm a great fan of the Disintegration Loops and wanted to honor and recontextualize that piece while going beyond the existing orchestrations of the original loops.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Singing a horn chart idea to Fred Wesley and Maceo Parker, then having them play it back transformed into their style. "Like this?" Yeah man, like that!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Live performances of the Reintegration Loops and the next pieces coming soon. And a number of dream collaborations.
