DNGDNGDNG are the alter ego of Peru's premier electronic outfit Dengue Dengue Dengue! Producers, DJs, and graphic designers Felipe Salmon and Rafael Pereira developed a musical aesthetic that weds the duo's exploratory Afro-Peruvian and Afro-Colombian polyrhythmic attack to an original take on the propulsive grooves offered by U.K. bass music subculture using interlocking, shifting time signatures and wildly varying tempos. Their debut EP, Continentes Perdidos (Lost Continents), appeared in July from Portugual's Enfuchada Records, and was released globally by On the Corner. ~ Thom Jurek
