In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory was making beats in a one-bedroom apartment on Fruity Loops while playing saxophone through middle and high school. Those experiences shaped my sound and inspired the producer I am today as D’Note.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Clipse, Lord Willin' DMX, DMX Ryders JAŸ-Z, The Blueprint I chose these albums because they shaped my production style. Swizz Beatz, Just Blaze, and The Neptunes inspired me to blend hard drums, soulful samples, and unique sounds into the style I create today as D’Note.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Hop In My Bag (feat. PabloGoddit, Reese, TRAX & E'quip)” I chose “Hop in My Bag” because my late cousin, who helped me produce and grow, is featured on the hook. Every time I hear it, I’m reminded of his impact, and his legacy continues through the music.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career was launching Trac Builderz, my mobile recording studio. It turned a dream into reality and gave me the opportunity to bring professional music production directly to artists.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My biggest goal is to leave a legacy through my music and help artists reach their full potential. I want Trac Builderz to become a respected name in music production while continuing to create timeless records as D’Note.
