The Dover Quartet made news when it won all three special prizes and the top prize at the 2013 Banff International String Quartet Competition. Soon after, the quartet was being reviewed and interviewed by mainstream media such as The Wall Street Journal and NPR, in addition to music-centric publications like Musical America and The Strad magazines. It is very consistently complimented for its homogeneous sound and insightful interpretations. The Dover Quartet began a faculty residency at the Curtis Institute in 2020, and the following year, it was named one of the greatest string quartets of the previous 100 years by BBC Music Magazine. With a growing recording catalog, the quartet joined the Arx Duo and narrator Natalie Christa Rakes on the album Steven Mackey: Memoir in 2024.
