In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My love for music started in my father's car. We'd listen to 1980s~2010s pops, indies, and alternative music, through CDs and radios. As a third culture kid who grew in Tokyo, Houston, and Ho Chi Minh, music was the art and communication in my life.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Daughter, 4AD Session - EP Daughter, If You Leave Daughter, Not to Disappear Daughter's exquisite sounds enrich the definition of "song" to me. The blend of carefree guitar echo and shy but profound lyrics, all create a deep trace in my mind as I listen, sometimes leaving me with tears or a smile with a sigh.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Watermelon Pink Blue Skies (Extended)” This one is my heartfelt artwork. One say I paint "a sonic canvas reminiscent of shimmering skies and vivid sunsets." Lofi, but a captivating track with a fluidic arrangement, inventive instrumentation, seraphic vocals and a pulverulent quality.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When Watermelon Pink Blue Skies was aired on KEXP Pacific Notions. I was very honored. And when WNMU radio highlighted my song for International Women's Day with great and notable indie artists. And when a fan from a far, felt the chills with me.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd love to record and release a couple more singles this year, and eventually prepare to release an EP or album. I aspire to grow as an artist to my fullest, build my portfolio and community, and do live performances around the world.
