Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember always singing on my karaoke machine as a kid. That’s when I had the most freedom to be expressive! I remember my siblings and parents getting very tired of me singing on that thing! I didn’t care who I bothered! It was my favorite thing!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alicia Keys, Songs In A Minor Ashanti, Ashanti Lyfe Jennings, Lyfe 268-192 These are the albums that I really connected with as a young singer. Every word was so melodic and carried special messages that were valuable to me. I have other favorites but these are just some of the first ones that came to mind.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment in my music career is working on my first rnb project, “The Breakup”. I went through a very hurtful time in my life. I had a great time turning it all into art.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to write and sing about the importance of love in our culture. All kinds of love, for every kind of relationship. I want my music to touch lots of people.
