Mysterious composing outfit Eternal Time and Space have made a splash in the world of video game soundtracks with their epic, immersive scores. The group is affiliated with a loose collective of composers who write music for the Halo video game franchise. After the enormous success of the series' sixth installment, Halo: Infinite, released in 2021, a free-to-play, massively multiplayer online version was created, requiring its own soundtrack. For this, Eternal Time and Space were recruited on the strength of their debut score, for the 2021 narrative adventure game Where the Heart Leads. The group contributed epic post-rock-influenced pieces to both volumes of soundtrack music for the game, 2021's A New Generation and 2024's Anthems for a Fireteam.
