Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Formed in NC in 1983, we pioneered an eclectic, original sound by blending rock, punk, funk, grunge, country and blues. After our debut album, Cabin Flounder, we released three more albums for Capitol Records including Grammy-nominated, Monster.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?

Supporting acts such as R.E.M., the B52s, Violent Femmes, The Replacements and Red Hot Chili Peppers, we loved touring live! With our eclectic sound and colorful style, we created music on our own terms and helped to define the 1980s musical era.

“A Fable”
After releasing our debut album, Cabin Flounder (1985), for seminal Atlanta label DB Records, our devout following caught the major label attention of Capitol Records, who released our next three albums, including our Grammy-nominated album, Monster.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
In 2022, Bad Pumpkin was exhibited in Lou Reed’s personal vinyl collection at Lincoln Center in NYC. We ignited a path of self expression and inclusion for others to follow, and were honored by our North Carolina Music Hall of Fame induction in 2023.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Following our induction and explosive live performance at NCMHOF, Cabin Flounder was re-issued on limited edition, colored vinyl for Record Store Day 2024, and is available digitally now for the first time since it's original release in 1985!
