In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Receiving my first guitar for Christmas (a £25 nylon string from Argos) was thrilling, I think was 11 years old. I could sense it had an infinite number of secrets to unlock and most importantly, it was mine. I still have it and play it every day.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Katie Noonan, Joni Mitchell's Blue Paul Simon, Graceland The Beatles, Revolver All fairly uncontroversial choices. I’ve over-played these albums to death. Graceland for the command of craft, Blue for its emotional intelligence, Revolver for being one of the most influential albums ever by the best band of all time.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We once played a festival up a mountain in Almaty, Kazakhstan which was fairly surreal. We could barely sing because of the altitude, playing for thousands of people I’m quite sure had no idea who we were. They seemed incredibly pleased to have us.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We’ve never played Glastonbury and want to desperately.
