In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Owen Holmes and Scott McRae first met during baseball tryouts in the fifth grade where Owen described Scott as someone who “was funny and cussed a lot”. The next year they met again in a middle school guitar class where they jammed in a closet.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? The Beach Boys, Smiley Smile The Residents, Meet the Residents Ween, The Pod The Residents whisk you away to a creepy, whimsical landscape of obscure grotesqueries. The Pod is f*****g gross and sad, one of the most specific places an album can take you. “Little Pad” is probably the greatest tune ever written by a band.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Jerry, My Friend” We really tore this joint to shreds, encapsulates our thesis statement. Really a very dynamic, disgusting song about drinking too much, having friends who drink too much and the violent pain of memories fleeing without remorse.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening our recording studio Ish House in Austin, Texas. Felt like an extension of the kinship we had cultivated for one another that we were at last able to share with the world. Magical day.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Recognition as the greatest, most distinct, hard working act to ever have hit the streets. Annihilation of all other weak ass stupid bands who dare cross our path.
