A versatile British pianist and vibist, Victor Feldman found a home in America playing bop, cool, swing, big band and rock. Feldman was also a fine composer and classy, often energetic soloist. Born in London in 1934, he was a self-taught child prodigy, sitting in with the Glenn Miller band at the age of ten. He came to America in 1955 and found work with Woody Herman, Cannonball Adderley, and Peggy Lee. During 1963, Feldman worked with Miles Davis and wrote the jazz standard "Seven Steps to Heaven." He played with June Christy in 1965, then became a steady session player. He made the pop big time in the mid-'70s and early '80s, contributing to hundreds of sessions by a range of artists, including Steely Dan, the Doobie Brothers, Cher, Rickie Lee Jones, Elton John, the Beach Boys, Christopher Cross, and Neil Diamond.
Victor Feldman také vydal(a) hudbu jako člen(ka) Vince Guaraldi Trio, Victor Feldman Quartet, The Victor Feldman Trio, Fuse One, Victor Feldman Big Band a Shelly Manne and His Men.
