In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My oldest friend Joe and I would often ask for the same Christmas presents. In the wake of the hysteria around Arctic Monkeys' debut, we opted for guitars and set about imitating our new favourite band. Some would say I'm still doing exactly that.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Demob Happy, Holy Doom Queens of the Stone Age, Era Vulgaris The Last Shadow Puppets, Everything You've Come To Expect Picking a favourite QOTSA record is almost impossible, but 'Era Vulgaris' is perfectly weird. 'Holy Doom' was always on in the car when we travelled to play shows, and the Puppets' album reminds me of the bromance between Jamie and I.

I adored this instrumental the moment he sent it over as a demo, and we didn't change much in the rehearsal room. I knew I needed some strong lyrics to realise its potential and think I got close.
