In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One Christmas I was watching my mom play “heart and soul” on piano. I learned it and played it for her. I started learning to play more piano and guitar and just tried to sound like Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes to impress all the middle school girls.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dan + Shay, Where It All Began Morgan Wallen, Dangerous: The Double Album Taylor Swift, Speak Now These albums are what got me first interested in country music. As I continue to grow as an artist, I find myself influenced by these songs in their production, lyrics, and style.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Highs & Lows” I love “Highs & Lows”. That song is a true story about a real interaction I had with a man after going to a therapy group. I remember hearing this guy’s story and sharing mine. I went home that night and wrote “highs & lows” in 1 hour.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting to sing “good god” at my mom’s funeral. That was a song i started writing before she passed and then finished after she passed. It became my way of healing and every-time i sing to this day, it still helps me heal through it all.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? The ultimate dream would be to create a one night only Nashville show with some of my favorite artist friends and invite all the fans and our families out as well.
