A stalwart American hard rock/heavy metal vocalist and guitar player, Ron Keel made a name for himself in the early 1980s fronting Nashville-born, Los Angeles-based pop-metallers Steeler. After the group's demise in 1983, Keel struck out on his own and formed Keel, who found success in 1985 with the anthem "Right to Rock," from the album of the same name. Keel (the band) issued a string of well-received LPs like The Final Frontier (1986) and Keel (1989) before calling it quits in the early '90s. In 2000, Keel went country, founding the Southern rock unit Ironhorse and releasing two albums, and in 2010 he re-formed Keel and released Streets of Rock & Roll. In 2018 he inked a deal with EMP and issued the album Fight Like a Band under the RKB (Ron Keel Band) moniker. Keeled, a set of re-recordings of classic Keel cuts, appeared in 2022.
