Steve Porcaro is a prolific American keyboardist, songwriter, and composer whose work spans a wide swath of pop and rock music dating back to the mid-'70s. He is best known as a founding member of the rock band Toto, which also included his two brothers Jeff and Mike Porcaro. With Toto, Steve notched massive hits like "Rosanna" and "Africa" and won three Grammy Awards. Also an in-demand session musician, Porcaro has contributed to countless recordings including records by Elton John, Earth, Wind & Fire, Rod Stewart, Aretha Franklin, Yes, and many more. He also co-wrote Michael Jackson's 1983 hit "Human Nature" and played extensively on its parent album, Thriller. Porcaro formally left Toto in the late '80s and shifted his focus to composing for film and television, though he remained a popular session man for years to come. After composing the score of the FX series Justified, he briefly rejoined Toto in 2015, then released his first-ever solo album, Someday/Somehow, a year later.
