In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember my father bringing my younger brother & I up on stage at a young age. He handed us harmonicas and let us play with the band. From then i became enamored with the idea of being a musician!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ann Peebles, Straight from the Heart Magic Sam, West Side Soul Otis Rush, Mourning In the Morning These three albums have had a huge impact on my own music. Magic Sam is my favorite musician of all time and my biggest influence on guitar. Otis Rush also is a huge influence. Ann Peebles is my favorite singer of all time.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “You'll Live On (feat. Greg “Fingers” Taylor)” This song is truly special. My father could no longer play harmonica due to Alzheimer’s. His friend and old band mate provided me with a recording of my dad. I implemented it into a song I wrote about my father. It really is special to me!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My father recently passed away in November 2023. We played some shows to honor him in January 2024. My favorite was at Duling Hall in Jackson Mississippi where we had a sold out crowd. I got to share the stage with Mac Macanaly & Fred Knobloch.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes! I’d love to tour Europe one day. It would great to visit the many beautiful countries out there and meet some wonderful people.
