Guitarist, singer, bandleader, and songwriter Jimmy Vivino is best known for his high-profile television gigs -- from 1993 to 2009, he was a member of the Max Weinberg Seven, the house band on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and led the Basic Cable Band on O'Brien's subsequent chat show Conan from 2010 to 2018. Long before that, he had a busy career as a sideman and arranger, working in the studio and on-stage with a wide range of artists, including Al Kooper, John Sebastian, Levon Helm, Donald Fagen, Cissy Houston, and Dion. Given his busy schedule backing others, he hasn't recorded much as a solo artist, but he cut a blues LP, Do What, Now?, in 1997, and in 2025 he sounded tough and agile on Gonna Be 2 of Those Days.
