In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I found my Pop’s Gibson guitar buried in the back of his closet when I was a kid. My brother and I started a band and played our first show in a gazebo by the Arkansas River—no stage, no permits, just heart. The cops shut us down, but I was hooked.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jason Aldean, They Don't Know Koe Wetzel, Sellout Third Eye Blind, Out of the Vein Third Eye Blind speaks to my soul, raw and nostalgic. Koe fuels my wilder side, he's reckless and real. Jason Aldean grounds me—country roots, small-town love, and everything I came from.

After a rare visit, I sat in my car and wrote “Cigarette With Mom,” capturing what I still carry to this day.
